Our operation theatre is well equipped with state of the art modern facilities, infection control and quality control strategies including laminar flow and HEPA filters. We follow internationally accepted protocols for administering safe anaesthesia. We are well equipped to manage high risk and difficult cases. Most important anaesthetic gadgets are available in our operation theatres including modern GE workstations, portable USG for peripheral nerve blocks, forced air and fluid warmers, syringe and infusion pumps.
For post operative care, we have well equipped recovery area and surgical ICU with well trained and dedicated nursing staffs. We also assist in acute management of critically ill patients in medical ICU, Cathlab and CCU. We provide anaesthesia for painless delivery by labour epidural analgesia. We also provide services for acute and chronic pain management.
The department is involved in teaching programme of the MBBS undergraduates and Interns.
The department also runs a paramedical diploma course for OT and Anaesthesia technicians (DOTAT) since 2017.
