Emergency medicine doctors assess and treat patients in the Emergency department, regardless of their illness. Their main focus is to stabilise patients as quickly as possible and determine the next best step. ER physicians treat patients from all walks of life and all ages. They treat various illnesses at every stage. Many patients we treat include those with diseases and conditions related to Neurology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Medical and Surgical Gastrointestinal concerns and with Orthopaedic challenges. We also take care of Dermatology and Psychiatry issues on occasions.

Department of Emergency Medicine in SNIMS, Chalakka, has 30 dedicated beds on triage basis.
