Inauguration of Renovated Ophthalmology OP Unit, Retina Clinic, and 1.5 Tesla MRI Unit at SNIMS

On 25th July 2025, the Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS) inaugurated its renovated Ophthalmology Outpatient Unit, Retina Clinic, and the newly installed 1.5 Tesla MRI Unit, marking a major advancement in its healthcare infrastructure. The ceremony, held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, was jointly led by GCT President Shri Pradeep Kumar Thankappan and Secretary Shri K. D. Venugopal.

The event was attended by Prof  Dr. Sedhu P. A. (Manager), Mr. Prasannan C. R. (Vice President), Mr. Rajendran R. (Joint Secretary), and Mr. Radhakrishnan A. S. (Joint Secretary). Key institute staff present included Prof. Dr. Indirakumari ( Principal ) Dr Thomas Jerry ( Vice Principal ) Dr. Anoop Vincent (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Manjusha K (Deputy Medical Superintendent), Dr. Simple Rajagopal (Principal nursing college), Lt Col Amita Naze (Nursing Superintendent ) , Ms. Deepthi B S ( Assistant General Manager – HR ) , Ms. Bindu P S ( College Administrator ) and Mr. Christus K. N. (Assistant Manager Hospital Administration).

Prof . Dr. Natasha Radhakrishnan (Retina Specialist) attended the event as a special guest, adding further significance to the occasion. All head of departments , doctors, along with students and staff from across the institution, actively participated, making the event a memorable gathering. This initiative reflects SNIMS’s continued commitment to providing high-quality, accessible medical care to the community.
