SNIMS strengthens Community Palliative Care efforts in Kunnukara In collaboration with the Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SNIMS), the Family Health Centre, Kunnukara Grama Panchayat, organized a Palliative Care Day observance and Patient–Caregiver Meet on Tuesday, 10 February 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kunnukara Ahana Auditorium. The programme was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Seba Muhammedali, President, Parakkadavu Block Panchayat. Mrs. Geetha Krishnan, President, Kunnukara Grama Panchayat; Mr. C. U. Jabbar, Vice President; panchayat members; other elected representatives; and the Health Inspector addressed the gathering and conveyed their support for community-based palliative care initiatives. As part of the programme, the distribution of free nutritional kits to palliative care patients—supported by SNIMS—was formally inaugurated by Mr. K. D. Venugopal, Secretary, GCT. Mr. Sajeev Babu Kombara, Treasurer, GCT, and Mr. Christus K. N., Deputy Manager (Operations), Medical College, were also present. The programme highlighted the significance of coordinated community support, compassionate care, and institutional partnerships in improving the quality of life of patients requiring long-term palliative care.
